HAIR TESTING

We can provide private and confidential hair collection, which shows up-to-90-day detection of drug use!!! All samples are tested by Quest Diagnostics, the nation's leading provider of diagnostic testing services. This makes hair testing from Drug Test Consultants of PA an ideal solution for Pre-employment as well as Court Ordered Drug Testing protocols.

Using an FDA-cleared testing system, this lab-based test offers the advantages of easy specimen collection. In addition, as the collection is observed, there is less chance of adulteration. Hair testing is an extremely unobtrusive method of testing for illegal drugs.

We report negative results within 24 hours of specimen receipt at the laboratory and positive results within 48 to 72 hours. Positive results are confirmed using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) or gas chromatography/mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (GC/MS/MS).

When compared to urine specimen testing, hair testing provides nearly twice the number of positives and a longer detection window.

Hair testing can test for the following classes of drugs: amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, ecstasy, marijuana, and PCP.

Summary of benefits of hair testing:

FDA-cleared testing system
Provides up-to-90-day detection of drug use
Forensically defensible results
Observed collection means less chance of adulteration
Nearly twice the number of positives as urine testing
Nationwide hair testing collection network

Hair collection specimens are overnighted to Quest Diagnostics and negative results are available within 24 hours of receipt. Positive results go thru a secondary (confirmation) procedure and are made available within 48 to 72 hours after receipt at the lab.
